The lclark search engine has been a great introduction to both Rails and Lewis and clark. I've been able to learn the ins and outs of Rails development, capistrano deployment and ruby gems/bundler configuration management. We upgraded the existing sphinx front end to support a more comprehensive language pre-parsing engine, improved the UI and added support for ics and vcf export formats for result data.

CloudGod was a proprietary project that was first invisioned by a co-worker at Mentor Graphics to wrap a CLI around libcloud so that we could efficiently manage and provision Amazon EC2 instances. I have been working hard to make it support hybrid clouds, projects, and better database support. Right now it can bootstrap both baremetal and virtual systems and works with EC2 and EUC. In theory it should work with all libcloud supported virtual platforms. We hope to release it to the community as soon as possible... Waiting for approval before we go ahead.
